About BullionRush.in
What we publish, where it comes from, and what we refuse to guess at
BullionRush.in publishes the Indian benchmark gold and silver rates. The aim is narrow and we would rather state it plainly than dress it up: publish the benchmark accurately, say exactly where it came from, and be clear about what we do not know.
What this site publishes
- Live 24K, 22K and 18K gold rates for Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Kochi
- Silver rates per gram, per 10 grams and per kilogram
- A calculator that adds making charges and GST to a weight you choose
- A daily price history, recorded since October 2026
- Plain-language guides to how the rates are produced and to reading a BIS hallmark
Where the numbers come from
Gold: the IBJA (India Bullion and Jewellers Association) benchmark, received through the metals.dev API and recorded twice each trading day. Silver: the MCX price, through the same API. Every page labels which source is in use, including when a fallback is in play, so you are never looking at an estimate without being told. The formulas, the fallback order and the reasons our number can differ from another site's are all set out on the how we calculate page.
We apply no city premium. Every city page shows the national benchmark, unadjusted. We used to add small estimated premiums for some cities and removed them in October 2026 because we could not substantiate them.
How we decide what to publish
This is the part most rate sites leave out, so here is ours, with the actual decisions rather than the principles.
- No price is written into a page. Every rupee figure you see is rendered when you load the page, from the live feed. A frozen price that gets indexed and goes stale is worse than no price, so there are none in our source files.
- We removed the city premiums. They were estimates we could not trace to published board rates, and they had been presented as fact. They went in October 2026, and the copy on six pages was rewritten in the same change so the site could not say one thing while the data said another.
- We deleted a petrol-price page. It carried prices hardcoded months earlier and presented them as current. There was no way to fix it that was honest, so it was removed rather than patched.
- We deleted a news page. It republished scraped headlines and contained nothing of our own.
- We threw away our own price history. Entries recorded before October 2026 were computed with a formula we later found to be wrong. They still sit in storage; the site ignores them permanently rather than quietly correcting them, because a reader could not otherwise tell which rows had been touched.
- We keep a list of claims we have not confirmed. Anything we could not trace to a source is either removed, attributed in the text as unconfirmed, or flagged for review before it can be published. Several claims common on Indian gold sites — "Asia's largest jewellery market", particular shares of national demand — are absent here because we could not source them.
Corrections
If a number here looks wrong, tell us and we will check it. The fastest way to get it fixed is to include the page, the figure you saw, the timestamp shown at the top of that page, and what you believe the correct figure is. Write to us through the contact page. Corrections to the published method are made on the how we calculate page so the change is visible rather than silent.
What we do not do
We do not sell gold or silver, and we have no commercial relationship with any jeweller. We carry no affiliate links — there are none anywhere on this site. We publish no forecasts, no price targets and no buy-or-sell views, because we are not licensed to advise and would not be able to tell you anything useful if we were. Nothing here is financial, investment or trading advice; the full terms are on our disclaimer page.
This site carries advertising, supplied by Google. Advertisers have no influence over the rates we publish, which city pages exist, or anything written on this page.
Who operates this site
